"re:Cindy and Lauren and Sabbatical years"

Lauren and Cindy,

Lauren, I have cut and pasted from your “summer fruit post”, I hope you don’t mind and have added the 858 Shmittah’s/sabbatical weeks for emphasis with the last paragraph also mine (Debi).

An understanding of the current seven-year Sabbatical week is essential in grasping the urgency of the times we are living.

Adam and Eve were set-apart with God for one sabbatical week: Tishri 1, year 1 to Elul 29, year 7 so we are completing the last 7 years of the 6000 years appointed to man because the count did not start till year 8. Therefore by adding 7 + 6000 the 858th Shmittah ends on Elul 29 or September 29, 6008 having started on September 18, 2001!

September 18, 2001 marked the arrival of the 858th Shmittah, or, sabbatical week as marked off from Adams creation. 858 X 7 = 6006 years + 1 = 6007 years (1 BC to 1 CE add 1 year) It is the first Shmittah to fall within this seventh millennium.

                                 IS THIS SIGNIFICANT

There is not one number in God’s word that is not without significance, I find it fascinating that Jubilee years in each century (100 years) fell on the eighth and fifty-eighth year and that this last sabbatical week is number 858!!

And look at this the 1st Jubilee cycle of the seventh millennium falls on Yom Kippur or October 9, 6008, which will be year 8 and 6008 years from creation if this count is correct.

We do serve an awesome God YSIC Debi
