"Re: BASKET OF SUMMER FRUIT"

Very thoughtful and interesting post Lauren, I have a couple of questions. . . .

You stated. . .

. . . .We are also told in Luke 13:8 that the Lord is going to dig around the fig tree and fertilize it. If  spiritual Israel is going to be taken to the “wilderness” possibly before the disengagement period goes into effect on August 15, 2005, we could be fertilizing the land 7-weeks before year number FOUR expires on 10-3-05.

Before this FOURTH year of this Sabbatical cycle ends, we, by God’s mercy, as “remnant believers” having the “testimony of Yeshua and by keeping His commandments” could very well be taken to the wilderness and by being part of the fig tree, as Israel’s redeemed we will be “given a new heart and a new spirit will be put into us” Ezekiel 36:26.

My questions:

  1. Where and what is the “wilderness”? I thought that was interesting for in Rev. 12  “the woman clothed with the sun” flees into the wilderness a place prepared for her. . . some have speculated it being Petra
  2. you say. . .”we could be fertilizing the land 7-weeks before year number FOUR expires on 10-3-05. . .” What does this mean and how do we fertilize the land?

In many places in the bible the prophets speak of rebuilding “the old waste places and planting vineyards” and the Lord will “raise up” of the Tabernacle of David which has fallen Amos 9:11, Acts 15:15-17. I know he is speaking of remnant believers and those called out of the gentiles as well as messianic jews.

But where is the “wilderness” and is it the old waste places that will be restored like the garden of eden in Ezekial 36:35?

Is it the promised land of Israel or is it a heavenly place?

There is to be a restoration of this wilderness and “remnant believers” are the one’s to help rebuild it these old waste places and plant vineyards. But how do we do it other than what we are already called to do by spreading the Good News and living a holy life set apart unto God?
