BASKET OF SUMMER FRUIT
Here am I, returned to the flock after seeing to some
painting/repairs to this old house. And as usual, desiring to hasten the
day of His return by any contrivance I can find……but at least that is better
than saying “My Lord delayeth His coming” and
eating/drinking with the drunken, so I present below another of my word-salads
for you to ponder upon.
It is clear to all, that this August is fraught with
many looming crises, whether it be war-related, or weather-related, or the
manifold problems being suffered by the Jews who are being forced to leave
their settled homes in Israel;
why are they doing this? Presumably, for “peace and safety”, and we all
know where that mindset will lead according to Paul……….utter destruction……..birth
pains. The Jewish day of mourning, the 9th of Av, approaches
Sunday the 14th. On this infamous day, both temples were destroyed,
they were forced out of Spain
in 1492 (similar to this dis-engagement…), and
a few other unsavory occurrences they remember on this day. In fact, in
light of this day, the disengagement has been put
over until August 16……(as if our Lord will be much mollified at this two-day
delay in dividing His land). According to Joel 3, the anger of the Lord
will be aroused, when “they divide my land…….” so, we might look for some
token of His anger upon the nations, for in Joel 3, He says that ALL nations
will be brought to Jerusalem, when they (all of them) divide His land.
In that the U.S.
is now actively involved in this process, that
leaves no one else who might be Israel’s
ally on this issue. So, right now, we are seeing that ALL the nations
are involved in the dividing of His land. Heads up….
Book ends? The Feast of Pentecost was exactly fifty
days after the Feast of Firstfruits. I note that it is exactly 50 days from August
14 until the evening of October 3, or Rosh Hoshanah.
Perhaps, having given us His Holy Spirit, fifty days after the 3rd
spring feast, He might not consider it folly to take out the Holy Spirit-filled
Christians, the “he who hinders”,,,,,,fifty
days BEFORE the first of the three autumn feasts? Plus, in that two Jewish
temples were taken out on the 9th of Av, certainly a coincidence,
that something may happen on this day to the Temple
which is His Body? Gideon’s men carried lights in “earthen vessels”, which,
when broken, shed forth their “light”, confounding the enemy, together with
the blowing of trumpets. Our bodies are the current home of the Holy
Spirit, and when these temporal bodies are “broken”, they will also be “changed”,
to reveal much more of the light that is within………it is also interesting
that the count-down for the small army of Gideon, a process of elimination
which we also go through to determine which of us are worthy to be IN HIM
and HE IN US,,,, that these thousands were eliminated in stages, until
the test of how they might drink their water from a stream settled their
fate. Some leaned over the water with their faces down, while others brought
the water up in their hands SO THAT IT WAS APPARENT WHO MIGHT BE THE “WATCHFUL”
ONES, thus, capable of being a good soldier. Jesus told us to “watch”.
Now, at the breaking of the earthen vessels of these 300 men, exposing their
light,, and the blowing of trumpets, the enemy
scattered in total confusion. Paul told us we are “children of the light”,
and that we have this “treasure in earthen vessels”, and when the trumpet
blows, “not to refuse Him who beckons”, as they did at Mt.
Sinai.
All by way of saying, that August 14 this year may be a day of the breaking
of our earthen vessels, typified by Gideon and crew?
Moving right along…..we have an interesting
prophecy in Amos:

| 1 Thus hath the Lord
GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket
of summer fruit. 2 And he said, Amos, what seest
thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit.
Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass
by them any more. 3 And the songs of the temple
shall be howlings in that day, saith
the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they
shall cast them forth with silence.
4 Hear this, O ye
that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,
5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that
we may sell corn? and the sabbath,
that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah
small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the
needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
7 The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their
works. 8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth
therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a
flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. 9 And
it shall come to pass in that day, saith
the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I
will darken the earth in the clear day: 10 And
I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation;
and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every
head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end
thereof as a bitter day. |
Apparently, God is angered here about false balances
(weights and measures), which cause the poor of the earth to suffer greatly,
and that religious observances are done checking their watches every 10
minutes for when they can resume plying their deceitful trades. This happens
at a time when Amos is shown a BASKET OF SUMMER FRUIT. This happens in
the summer, not fall. When shown the basket of SUMMER fruits, Amos hears
from God,,,”the end has come upon my people Israel”.
Henceforth, there would be mourning and trouble coming in like a flood.
Note also that after the birth and rapture of the “manchild”
in Rev. 12, that the devil will pursue the remaining remnant of the woman
by casting out a “flood” after her.
Re 12:15 -
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman,
that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
If the rapture of the manchild
occurs per the “great sign in heaven” on August 14-15, given to us by Chris
Mulder earlier,,,,,then
this “flood” would follow shortly after.
Above, in Amos, God says that the land will tremble,
and that everyone in the land will “mourn”…..(everyone
does mourn and fast on the 9th of Av)
In the next chapter of Amos, this is elaborated upon
by God:
Am
9:5 -
And the Lord GOD of hosts
is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt,
and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like
a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
Something sounds quite serious in the above
warning.
This stuff happens in the summer, at least
some summer if not this one, and something significant happens in Isaiah
18, because God comes down and does some serious pruning on His vine “afore
the harvest”, during the “heat” of the hot summer months.
Regardless of my ramblings (and hopes for
a sooner appearance than the Feast of Trumpets), something cataclysmic happens
to Israel,
the basket of summer fruit, that is shown to Amos. This is not fall fruit,
it is summer fruit.
Jesus said, when we saw the fig tree (and
other trees), we would know that ‘SUMMER” was near.,
and even that He was “at the door”. Paul said, as to the TIMES AND “SEASONS”,
that he had no need to tell them, for it would be redundant—they already
knew what season the Lord would come.
Is He coming in summer,
or fall? I guess we will know soon, for we are children of the light,
and “will see that day coming”, and not be surprised by it, as being like
a thief in the night.
By the time this is posted, we may be beginning
to see some hyper-happenings in the world or earth-related changes…..because
at the very least God will be angry at the dividing of His land,,,(by ALL the nations). After the end of August, I will get
