This passage from Amos 8 about
the BASKET OF SUMMER FRUIT caught my attention some 3 - 4 years ago as well.
Plus, like you mentioned, we are told that "when the fig trees blossom, SUMMER
is near"!!
Scripture says of the Jews:
“ The harvest is past, The
summer is ended, And we are not saved!” Jeremiah 8:21
Furthermore, towards the very
tail end of the tribulation, one of the remaining plaques will be the sun
SCORCHING people. Rev 16: 8The fourth
angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch
people with fire. 9They were seared by the intense
heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues,
but they refused to repent and glorify him.
So I just figured it would
need to be SUMMER, at least in certain parts of the world, when the trib is
nearing its end, basically meaning if it STARTS in summer, it will END in
summer some 7 years later, with the emphasis being on it STARTING in the summer!
Plus, I just cannot get past the
Scripture in Zephaniah 2 ~ speaking of OUR GATHERING together with Jesus,
and then talking about how Gaza will be deserted. I've been feeling
like if these 2 happening progressively in some kind of order ~ that our evacuation
would happen some time "close" to the Gaza pullout.
We may indeed by standing on a
cloud with Jesus even before this here post can make it to Five Doves on Monday
morning.
Marilyn Agee points to Monday,
August 15th as a possible rapture date, and it could well be, if not before
then. Quite personally, I think ANY DAY between *NOW* and Rosh Hashana
will work "just fine" for a rapture day! :)
I indeed think the rapture will be some where CLOSE to the Gaza pullout, per
Zephaniah 2, and also when you consider the Pals are not wanting to stop with
Gaza ONLY ~ no, they want the West Bank AND JERUSALEM, too!!
It would seem to me that if the
Jews are told to FLEE from Judea at mid-trib, then they must certainly still
be in control of Jerusalem during the trib, and if this is to be, then it
seems to make sense that we must *EXIT* before the Pals can take over
a good chunk of Israel.
From Song of Sol. 2:13 we get:
The fig tree
puts forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grapes Give a good
smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away!
Friends, I have grapes growing
~ they are tender RIGHT NOW!!
The basket of summer fruit in
on the table RIGHT NOW!!
We watchers who are looking for
our BrideGroom are pretty sure it's time for Him to come..... RIGHT NOW!!

P.S. My very frail mother recently
fell & broke several bones and has spent 3.5 weeks in the hospital; she
is to be transferred to rehab soon, but in spite of the fact that she cannot
get out of bed, or walk, or even go to the bathroom by herself, she is giving
us lots of grief, because she keeps wailing, "I WANT TO GO HOME!" {of course,
she's referring to her earthly home} ...... but I just keep thinking,
now isn't that the rapture watcher's mantra?! "I just want to
go HOME!"..... to be with Jesus FOREVER!! Sure would be nice to
give my mother "her wish"! ;)
Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!
