I am grieved at times by my brothers and sisters who attempt convince
others to do what Paul would not do "deny their conscience.." I'm sure
this will get some reposes. But for me, the Holy Spirit convicted me some
time ago He wanted me to stop my involvement politics. To that end, since
then, I have obeyed Him.
 

I am not surprised at those within the faith who would strongly disagree
with this position. I am familiar with the wide spectrum of tactics used
against those in this school of thought - from that of denying the faith,
to that of being "too spiritual." To these I would simply respond, my
Savior and Lord would not get involved in politics, and since the Holy
Spirit has led me to do the same, I see no heavenly reason as to why I
should not follow the path of my Great Shepherd. If this path was good
enough for Him, I figure, it can't be too far off the mark.
 

And further, as citizens of another world, we are called to be
ambassadors. Could someone tell me just how many ambassadors to the
United States from foreign countries will be voting in the elections? I
think you see the point.
 

To those who do vote, I would say, vote your conscience. And do it
"heartily, as unto the Lord." I just hope you would begin to understand,
there are those of us who will not be visiting a voting booth this coming
election, nor any other; not because we would deny our faith, nor that we
are too spiritual, but rather, because the only One worthy of these votes
will not be on any ballot this world has to offer. While I can't answer
for others who hold this view, I can say, because of what He has done for
me, personally, I will continue to show my allegiance to Him in so far as
He has asked it of me. To that end, I await the day when He shall rule,
as King of Kings. If my brothers and sisters call that sin, then may God
forgive
us, because I tend to think we have missed a good portion of the big
picture of what we are called to do as followers of Christ.
