"Paolo's post on Magog"
Thanks so much Paolo for your link, the maps
were especially nice.
When I considered this back in 2002, as far as I concluded,
Magog has something to do with Iran, and way back there, there was a lot
of overlap or Iraq and Iran. This is basically what was called the "Silver
Kingdom", and over this was a position of power referred to in general
terms as Years of Darius, and Prince of Persia. One does not have to look
very much in the current news to see the emergence of Iran as significant.
In my opinion, the "battle of Ezekiel 38" et al can very
likely be a thrust from the region of Iran/Iraq and the now independent
ex Russian states that must be supplying nuke stuff to the Silver Kingdom
against Jerusalem.,
In my opinion, this is somewhere in the middle of the
tribulation (there are many convincing suggestions that this could be what
starts the tribulation, mid tribulation, or at the end of the tribulation).
All of these scenarios have supporting reasons to accept them, and I can
not make any claim that "I am correct" or anything like that.
However, consider this. If there is this peace and safety
in Jerusalem, with the AC sitting around claiming themself to be in charge
of everything and bringing the peace, imagine how insanely angry the AC
is going to be when Jesus stops the invading armies in the middle of the
tribulation, not the AC. This will totally embarass and discredit the AC,
because he does not stop the invading armies. In my opinion, THIS is why
the AC decrees all death and terror and elimination of the Hebrew people,
and hence they have to flee. This "exodus" is the one that preserves a
remnant of Hebrew people in what very well could be Petra (although this
is debatable as well). Everybody feel free to jump into this discussion,
I don't think any of us can know all the answers to this, but it is very
enjoyable to look at these prophetic issues.
