Hello Doves,I'm not sure what corresponds to our time for the second, third, fourth watch of the night but these verses caught my attention.
Luke 12
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.Matthew 14
24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. On a personal note, we have thieves that patrol our neighborhood at night breaking into cars and stealing bikes. One night my spouse was going on a trip and put gear and luggage in the car shortly after midnight and locked the car. At 4:00 am we went down and the car had been broken into and the gear not locked in the trunk was gone. (This before we realized the neighborhood had a problem). The Police confirmed that thieves strike after midnight, usually around 2:00am when most night owls have gone to bed and before newspaper delivery and trash trucks start rolling at 4:00am. Now we don't keep anything valuable in the car and have a car alarm, and a light on at night. But if we had known the hour the thief was coming....
