"a warning - maybe?"
My mom (Shelly) thought I should share something
I heard with you all. On Aug. 17, a week ago Tuesday, I was at the lake
jet skiing with my family. The weather was perfect that day, but not a
whole lot of activity. I went out for a ride by myself while my husband,
his buddy, and my kids stayed on the beach. For those of you who don't
know, when you're on a jet ski, it's the only thing you can hear; they're
pretty loud. Anyway, as I was heading back, I heard this loud noise to
my left, that at the time I had a hard time describing. I asked my husband
and his friend if they heard it, and asked "heard what?" I told them it
was so loud I could hear it over the jet ski, almost like an alarm or something,
it had a high pitch, to my left, and was so loud I thought it was right
next to me. They didn't hear a thing. Well, later that night my husband
and I were watching the gymnastics during the Olympics. The event was the
women's balance beam, and guess what, I heard that noise. It is a warning
letting the gymnast know their time is almost up (there is a time limit
for that event and the floor exercise; you could hear it during the men's'
floor routines). I thought I was going to come unglued. I don't remember
how long ago, but I had asked the Lord that when its time to go that when
he gives the shout that it would be so loud that I would hear it with no
mistake. Well, what I heard that day, I think is a warning that time is
up. I thought it was pretty cool, and I thank Jesus for giving me an answer
like that to my prayer. Time is short.
