Dear Doves,Some of us are on opposite sides of the political debate. That is as it should be - an expression of our democratic way of life from a Christian perspective.
However, in light of the article below, as a Christian 'family' looking out for each other's best interests and knowing that a locomotive of catastrophic events is gaining speed, I think we should also direct our energies to reporting information on possible terrorist-related activities in our own locales. Perhaps a pattern of sorts will emerge which will of benefit to the safety of us all. The recent Albany, NY episode, just too close to home for me, tells us that big cities are not our only concern. Yesterday, the arrest of a possible terrorist in Charlotte, NC brings home the point that our coasts are not the only geographical areas in danger. What is going on in our towns and villages that has not yet made the national news? In case of an 'event' or several simultaneously, what is the likely scenrio that could impact our lives and our assets? Is gas rationing in the cards? How will the banks and the mortgage companies react? Are our insurance policies secure?
We must not bury our heads in denial. The more information we gather now, the better off we will be - especially if the rapture ia still some months away.
