"To Soraya, re: Kerry"

Dear Sister Soraya:

I wish to inform you that Captain George Elliot is in fact, standing by his story, and has executed an ADDITIONAL affadavit in which he re-affirms his original statement.

Read it for yourself:

Here is an excerpt:
"Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in today’s edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that the ad be played.

“[Additional documentation follows].  The article by Mr. Kranish is particularly surprising given page 102 of Mr. Kranish’s own book quoting John Kerry as acknowledging that he killed a single, wounded, fleeing Viet Cong soldier whom he was afraid would turn around.

“Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has more than 250 supporters who are revealing first hand, eyewitness accounts of numerous incidents concerning John Kerry’s military service record. The organization will continue to discuss much of what John Kerry has reported as fact concerning his four-month tour of duty in Vietnam.”

Soraya, you concluded by saying:

"He states he feels sorry for the lies he agreed to."

Captain Elliott stated no such thing. It would appear that you have been taken in by the lies which were published by the Boston Globe, Kerry's hometown newspaper, which has a vested interest in protecting their local 'hero'. I understand how such an inaccurate and misleading news report, picked up for re-publishing and re-broadcast throughout the media, could confuse you.  As a retired NBC Radio News Director myself, I have found that it helps to learn all the facts before making assumptions.

That is what I did before I sent my original post to Mr. Tng.

Regards,

John Russell
