"So, Is God Republican or
Democrat?"
Is God so confused that he tells one Christian
one thing and another Christian something different?
It would seem that is the case because some Christians
are convinced the Democratic candidate is the right choice, others are
convinced that the Republican candidate is the right choice and still others
are convinced that a 3rd party candidate is the right choice.
Did God speak to all these people 3 different things?
Is the Father unsure of what he wants?
Or maybe he is giving Christians different messages to
make things look good at the polls or perhaps to make things more exciting
for the viewers?
God is not confused...we are. And guess who is the author
of confusion?
Father wants us to humble ourselves and pray...Satan
wants us to be divided thinking "we make the difference".
Rather it is God who makes the difference...not us. In
the book of Job chapter 40 the Lord speaks to Job about His Majesty and
power. God states many things that he has done in creation and then he
says to Job if you can explain all this to me THEN I will also confess
to you that your own right hand can save you.
But of course Job cannot and likewise his own right hand
could not save him...and so it is true today. Our own right hand cannot
save us. Our voting will not save us...our political involvement cannot
save us...our making of laws and placing of judges cannot save us....but
God can.
If we are willing to pray and humble ourselves he can
save us...but we may be too busy with politics or entertainment or work
or relationships or any other distraction that the enemy may entice us
with...but if we pray, truly pray then the Father may choose to save us.
Yet our own right hand will not save us and cannot save
us.
Is God confused? Are we really all hearing something
different and yet saying it is the Father? If so it is not God.
God wants us to turn to him and not to the arm of the
flesh which is politics.
Our own right hand cannot and will not save us.
This is what I think.
