Gypsies: end-time sign

Dear friends:

My message yesterday about Gypsies brought some interesting responses.  Here are two:

1.  Christine Darg is founder and president of Exploits Ministry.  She and husband Peter minister in the Middle East, Europe and Africa, and are also the 700 Club directors there.  About the move of the Holy Spirit among Gypsies, Christine wrote: "I have also written in one of my newsletters that the current revival of the Gypsies is an End-time sign because they live in their caravans in the hedges and byways.  The last call to the marriage supper is given like this in Luke 14:23, 'And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.'"

See http://www.olivetree.org/ for the Darg's Web site.  The article in Christine's Exploits magazine about faith to move mountains in Egypt is interesting.  For a free color copy of Christine's magazine, contact info@exploits.tv .  It is always full of fascinating and faith-building insights from the Middle East and God's Word.

2.  Dr. Rami Ben Ari of Israel is presently in Bulgaria where his preaching includes Gypsie churches.  He wrote: "The name Gypsy is a distortion of the french word "Egypsien" meaning one who comes from Egypt. the gypsies are dark like the egyptiens. However, in Hebrew they are called 'Tsoani' (Zoani) because they come from the region of Zoan in Egypt. Num.13:22, Ps. 78:12, Isaiah19:11, Isaiah 30:4, and Ezekiel 30:14.They were experts in horses (they still are),and were used by the Egyptian army (cavalry). When the Egyptian Empire fell, they started wandering all over.  Their God is called Devla, and they claim that he is the very same Jehovah that the Jews and of course afterwards the Christian believe in."  (Their god Devla sounds a lot like "devil"!)
