Dear friends:
You may remember that in late July during the Democratic convention, a Christian friend was working there and had unrestricted access to everything. I referred to him as "God's Agent 007." He sent me several insider reports, which I forwarded. He went all over the convention hall and prayed over everything, saying, "I took my bottle of anointing oil and I went around and prayed over each of the media sky boxes. There were a number of people performing a number of different tasks around the convention floor including CNN running through rehearsals. There were probably 30 or more sky boxes, including all of the major networks, plus many desks on either side of the main platform for the print media. Each one got anointed and prayed over. As I anointed each sky-box and media area, my prayer was that deception would be bound and that truth would come forth (my emphasis supplied, see below). I strongly believe that if truth prevails the American people will make the right choice at the ballot box this fall."
Note that he prayed that "truth would come forth."
Now, get this -- just after that, seemingly out of nowhere, the swift boat veterans' testimonies came on the scene in a sudden explosion that is daily increasing in intensity. I believe that is an answer to 007's prayer. The veterans' revelations are unprecedented, and the potential impact is huge.
Note that 007 prayed for "truth." Isn't it interesting that the sudden emergence of the swift boat veterans' revelation is called "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth"? See http://www.swiftvets.com/
The liberal media are going absolutely ballistic. I have never seen such rudeness and viciousness, especially in attacking and slandering 254 honorable Vietnam veterans, mostly heroes with numerous medals for bravery, and many of whom were actual eyewitnesses, who have every right to express their heartfelt opinions. They represent both political parties and are only speaking out of concern for their country.
My friend said, "I strongly believe that if truth prevails the American people will make the right choice at the ballot box this fall." I hope he is right but frankly, based on past elections, I do not have that much confidence in the collective wisdom of the American people.
But truth has now come forth. What Americans do with it is up to them, and will make the difference. Of course, God is in control, but we know He directs and uses the prayers of His people to accomplish His will on the earth. But He still allows us to make choices, and also experience the consequences.
