"VIETNAM INLAND NAVY RESEARCH"

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
 HELLO AND GREETINGS TO EVERYONE

I for one hopefully intends to put the Vietnam topic to rest quickly if possible, and maybe this will be my last original installment on this matter; unless I keep coming across silly posts like the one I had to respond to on Saturday.

I mentioned that my former coworker Mark, who I haven't seen now in about six years, was in Vietnam, and serving in the Navy while there, did his duty tour on  river duty aboard small craft.Since I knew next to nothing about those craft, I assumed that they would have been "swiftboats".

But after doing research over the weekend on the various type craft used during that conflict, I came to the conclusion that I could be wrong about Mark and Swiftboats; and maybe I am wrong; but I just still don't know that for pure fact.
If Mark and me were still in contact, then be rest assured I ask him, and get the full story for the record. But like I said, its now been several years since we last talked, and I have moved away from there since then, after the where we worked closed down, and I retired from there as well.

But as mentioned above, Mark was a patrol boater of some kind; that's all I know, and so thats that.So bottom line; I would have been remiss not to show some of the information that I came across during my research. And to say that while I may be wrong concerning Mark and Swiftboats; I still don't know that for a fact. The below web site is a pretty neat one; and the midi music for each link is really cool too--which goes back to that era.
