"The Abraham life-style"

Shalom All:

Our family is, I hope, nearing the end of it's relocation by the end of this month!

While engaged in this "moving" activity I began to reflect on what Abraham owned during his life-time.  Certainly there was the promise of land to his descendents BUT during his life-time, what he could move was what he owned.  His "wealth" therefore was very protable ... tents, livestock, personel, etc.

Abraham even had to purchase the burial plot for Sarah, not having land himself.

My son observed we either rent from a private individual OR rent from the government in the form of property taxes!  Isn't that the truth!  Always financial bondage to someone or some system now.

But back to that protable wealth.  The effort needed to move protable wealth is a great way to judge how valuable the item is!  Boxes and boxes of "stuff" that you will never use is a total waste of effort to move.  Moving helps bring Paul's admonition to mind of running the race with as little encombrance as possible!

May we who wait for Yeshua continue to cast aside what will hold us to this earth!

your slightly stressed sister in Yeshua,
Dianne
