"re. the election issue"

Shalom All:

Sentinel (Randy) Kulp (9 Aug 2004) posting:
"Is it a sin not to vote?"
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/aug2004/sentinelk89.htm

...prompts me to write.  I too will not vote or participate politically
anymore.

For years I was indoctrinated to believe that we in the USA lived in a
democracy, never mind that the Constitution expressly designates the USA
governement as a Federal Republic.

And as long as I have been able to vote I have always dutifully done so.

However ... after years of seeing the political "platforms" of the major
parties violated over and over again, I questioned my actions in doing so.
Then I chose to associate myself with the Constitution Party, hoping that
here would be a GODly-principled platforn that would really be adhered to.  I
found to my dismay that even this party is no different than all the rest ...
BUT ... this made me realize that nothing can be different BECAUSE this
system is man's system. not GOD's!

So ... recognizing I live in a democratic police-state which pays lip-service
to GOD (as in GOD Bless America), which has open boarders so that every "god"
and demon of the world can enter with their people, which is controlled by
every alphabet-soup organization you can name, I will no longer vote.

I too have come to realize that any blessing/safely comes from YHVH ... and it
is mine personally, not tied to human governance.  GOD alone prospers the
people in a country and that country's government will only prosper as it
recognizes GOD's sovereignty.

The month of Elul is almost upon us.  August 17/18 is the default date for the
new moon.  Then is the month count to Yom Teruah.  Perhaps The Father has
some things in mind to happen before the November election.  In view of that
and eternity, I am prompted by Ruach HaKodesh to be attending to my
relationship to Yeshua during this time.
