Time is some thing that we all have, but it is a limited resource. We each are allotted one life time amount. Each person’s life time being what God has allowed us to have; some short and some long.

We must be careful what we do with our time and what we trade it for. I have friends that trade their time for money. They both (husband and wife) work very hard and most of their time is given over to the making of money. They have enough for several life times, but still it is not enough for them. Others give their time to sports, TV, fishing, or some other activity. 

About 30 years ago, I gave my extra time to fishing. I went with a friend every Tuesday and Thursday through out the year. We owned (together) 3 boats and 5 motors and spent all of our extra time fishing. Then the Lord spoke to me about this. In a heart-beat, I walked away from fishing (delivered from fishing?). I have not been fishing for years.

I think that God cares about our extra time or free time. We each get to choose what we will do with it. I have repented to God many times over my loss time. As I look back over my life I see years of wasted time. Time that could have been used for God, I wasted. Now, I try to be more mindful of this and to make time count. 

We have but one life , may we use it as God directs.
