It is hard to believe, but just a few inches keep most Christians from fulfilling their destiny. Yep, a few inches it all that it takes to hold most Christians at a stand still.

You see the inches that I am talking about is the width of a wall; or more precise the thickness of your church wall or your house wall. 

Most Christians are waiting for a job or a particular job in a church and we all know that there is a small percent of the entire church who has those positions. (Teachers, preachers, etc.) So what do the rest of the people get to do? Well, they are allowed to sing and put money into the offering plate. (In some churches they are allowed to clap hands while singing.) What a waste of God’s people. All of these Christians have gifts and God has already spoke to them about service in the kingdom; but there is nothing for them to do or nothing that they are allowed to do. They might have a great gifting for working with youth, but all of those jobs are taken. Worst yet, they be gifted in one area, but have to settle for working at something they are not gifted for at all. God gives them a word or an idea; but they are not allowed to speak out. 

Well, there is a solution: Just pass the outer wall of the church (or the outer wall of your home) is the entire world. You can go out there and do whatever the Lord tells you to do, and there is no fighting for jobs out there. In fact, the truth is that you will be quite alone out there.

You see, most of God’s gifts are to be used in the world. Wherever you are or wherever you go the kingdom of God can increase because of you. Most of us have a complete boatload of Bible teaching in us. (Many years worth if the truth is told.) We are more than prepared and with God/Holy Spirit it is all we ever need. 

Be brave and take a giant step and go out into the world. Be the Servant of God that you really are. You are all the equipment that is needed. Go forth and see what God would have you to do. You are totally free out in the world to minister as God directs. Go in any direction and do what ever He tells you to do. 

I tell you this, it is simply wild out there. People are hurting and are sick or lonely and they could use your prayers. You can lead people to salvation and Baptist them. You can become the Servant of God for family groups. They will come to you for years for help. They might never go to a church but you will see them in heaven because you dared to cross the line. (wall)

  In one family group, I have lead them to the Lord. I go and pray with them in times of trouble. I have even held the funeral for three family members. I am their contact with God. They have no church or pastor, I am it. What a responsibility and privilege to be God’s servant for that family.

Also this is good for church workers since church is only for a few hours each week. They can put into practice what they teach about. It is a big world out there.

God will direct you and help you. He will also correct you when it is needed. It is great working directly with God like this. You and God and the world. When you go out into the world keep your spirit ears open, for God will give you stuff to do if you ask. In fact, there is a whole life time of work out there. Every vacation you take, every trip to the store, or every day that you go to work. Every telemarketer, every wrong telephone call can be a chance to reach people in different places with the gospel. Every pre-addressed and no postage needed letter can be a direct line to someone who need to hear from God.

 Just do it. Pray to God and take that giant step to service in the kingdom. You will be so busy that you can go to church for a rest. You can sit there and sing with the rest of them
