the Olympic games being played in Athens currently, and the world-wide
media coverage of Athens and the Parthenon there may be a Rapture
pointer.

i suspect these Athens-based games, with their olive branch wreathes,
might be a confirming sign that His return or culmination of intent is
near. due to the meaning of word 1017g. this is the date (10/17/04) i
ended up considering 'evidenced enough', and felt comfortable with
before God as Judge, to declare as a resurrection/rapture date on this
web site, which ultimately can still be incorrect (i realize), despite
so-called 'evidence', from any source.

Strongs 1017g = Brabeion, an award, a prize in the public games.
gematric value = 240.

I Cor 9:24
"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but (only) one
receives the prize? run in such a way that you may win."

Brabeion is "a prize bestowed in connection with the games. (1) in I
Cor 9:24, is used metaphorically of the "reward" to be obtained
hereafter by the faithful believer; and (2) in Phil 3:14; the
preposition 'eis', "unto," indicates the position of the goal. The
"prize" is not "the high calling", but will be bestowed in virtue of,
and in relation to it, the heavenly calling, (cf. Heb 3:1), which
belongs to all believers and directs their minds and aspirations
heavenward; for the "prize", see especially 2 Timothy 4:7,8.

Paul writes, at the end of his earthly ministry, in 2 Timothy 4:7,8
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept
the faith;
In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which
the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not
only to me, but also all to all those who have loved His appearing."
