"Adam, the 1st marker, 1947 Dead Sea Scrolls, Jordan River & Jared."

Interested Readers -

i've posted this info in Jan 2003, but here is a reposting with some
new info.

this comes on the heels of Donna Danna's post.

********************

When Enoch is 'taken' in 987, 8 of the 10 patriarchs in Genesis 5 are
alive, including Enoch.

Adam has been dead 57 years, having died in 930.  930 + 57 = 987.

Noah is yet to be born, in 69 years, in 1056.

the Flood occurs in 1656.

1656 - 930 = 726.

Strong's 726g = Harpazo, the Rapture.

i interpret this to be an indicator that the Flood is also a type of
the event yet to occur commonly called a rapture, Paul writing about it
in I Thess 4:16-17. Enoch is a type, as well as the Flood.

follow my logic - if Adam's death at 57 years is a marker to enoch's
ascension - then the New Testament rapture (of which enoch is a
prototype) 'possibly' occurs 57 years after some significant event in
our history.

for 3.5 years i have thought the rapture would occur in 2004, and i am
the first and loudest to say there's a mammoth possibility that i am
completely and totally WRONG.

but, looking at this simple math ...

2004 - 57 = 1947.

the most significant archaeological find of Bible related artifacts to
date is the 1947 discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. the magnitude of
the find seems to mark the year.

but there is another take on this.

my rapture concepting revolves around Jared, Enoch's father and numbers
associated with him.

His name Yared has, as a base, the same word as the hebrew word Yarden,
i.e. 3381h Yarad.

this Yarden is what Bible readers know as the "Jordan River". the river
that bars entrance to the promised Land, the eastern border of Israel.

Yarden means the "descender'. Yared means "to descend".

looking at any middle eastern map, it is obvious the the Jordan river
flows north to south and ends in the Dead Sea. there is no outlet for
the river water.

my understanding is that this is the lowest spot on the earth.

checking numerous sources, i find differences on the actual depth below
sea level, but on my National Geographic map, which i recently got,
shows the depth to be ...

- 416

this is notable, because the numeric value of Jared in greek is 416.

i am sure there are correct typological concepts related to this Sea,
it's depth, and high salt content that would relate Bible truths to the
reader, if God would reveal it.

like, perhaps Jesus Himself (I Thess 4:16) will descend for those who
are extremely salty.

or perhaps His place of descension is over the Dead Sea?
