"144 cubits & the North Side of the City"

Readers -

Revelation 21:17 -
"And he (angel with a golden reed) measured the wall (of the New Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven) thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

The angel showed John the city with the gates, foundations etc.

If a cubit is 18 inches as used in the west, then the wall was measured as:

144 x 18 = 2592 inches.

I theorized that if I chased the 2592 number, I should land in some verse talking about the Temple and/or Jerusalem.

Correct.

Ezekiel 8:4
"And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain."

The verse before it for critical context:

Ezekiel 8:3
"And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy."

God's angel lifted up Ezekiel by a lock of the hair and took him through earth and heaven and showed him Jerusalem, and the gate that looks toward the north.

Cross number systems. Bible verse # 2592 =

Exodus 36:25
"And for the other side of the tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards, ..."

It looks like the angel in Revelation 21 measured the wall on the "north" side of the New Jerusalem that comes down from Heaven @ 2592 inches.

Jesus is Lord.
