Hi:

Thank you. I like that. Those 40 days would take in Ascension Day, Omer 40. I am hoping the Rapture will be on Ascension Day, May 5, 2013. Omer 1 is counted on Resurrection Day.

May 5 is Ascension Day and the Eastern Orthodox Easter SUNDAY. It is the last time Ascension Day falls on Sunday until 2024. If the Rapture is to be on Ascension Day and Sunday, this seems to be the year for it.

The Holy Fire should appear in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem soon after 2 PM on Holy Saturday. I think it was in 1970 that the Holy Fire did not come, because someone attempted to update the Julian Calendar used in 30 AD. They immediate went back to the old Julian Calendar to figure Easter, and the Holy Fire has appeared every year since. The Lord may be giving mankind that miracle to show us when the Rapture will happen. It is the longest lasting miracle ever. It seems to have started in the days of Constantine, and maybe the first Easter Sunday, when Peter saw light in the tomb. The Holy Fire is more like light for a couple of minutes, then it changes so the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem can light his candles and take the Holy Fire out to the waiting crowd. It has to be him. Others have tried and the Holy Fire failed in the tomb. One time though, it came outside where the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem was standing near the door of the church. It came like lightning and split the column near the Patriarch.

Will Jesus come like lightning?

Mat_24:27 says, "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

Luk_17:24 says, "For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in HIS DAY."

The day of the Rapture is the Day of Christ.

Php_1:10 says, "That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ".

Php_2:16  says, "Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain".

2Th_2:2  says, "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand."

Rev 1:9-11 shows that the Rapture will be on SUNDAY. It says, "I John (meaning graced by Yahweh), who also am your brother, and companion IN TRIBULATION, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos (meaning mortal), for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10  I was (lit., became) in the Spirit on the Lord's day (SUNDAY), and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last".

Act 1:7-11 says, "And he (Jesus) said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8  BUT ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9  And when he had spoken these things, WHILE THEY BEHELD, HE WAS TAKEN UP; AND A CLOUD RECEIVED HIM OUT OF THEIR SIGHT.  10  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men (probably Moses and Elijah) stood by them in white apparel; 11  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

Well, he went up on Ascension Day, so maybe that means that he will "so come in like manner" on Ascension Day.

Whatever, I don't think we have long to wait now.

Robert G (3 Apr 2013) "Re: Jim Bramlett - He is risen!!!"

Indeed, He is risen! Praise Him!
(That is the traditional reply)

In the Ukrainian Church, "He is risen" is the greeting used, for the 40 days following Easter. The reply is "Indeed, He is risen! Praise Him!".
