"My Testimony
involving Malachi 4:2"
My Testimony involving Malachi 4:2
I'm a chronic back pain sufferer. I've had disc herniation
problems for over 20 years now, but I was always able to get out
of pain with physical therapy and some rest.
In the Spring of 2010, I started really hurting again and could
not for the life of me get out of pain. I finally started
to really feel better this year and make some real progress
after almost two years of failed PT, injections, narcotic pain
meds, chiropractors, MRIs and avoiding fusion
surgery etc etc.
Three weeks ago I got seriously hurt again and have reherniated
this fouled disc and another. It was my fault and I'm almost
back to square one, and all that square one means. Severe pain,
fear, depression, lack of functionality, back on narcotics, can
barely work, can't sit, stand, etc etc etc etc. Many
people reading this can identify.
About three days before I got hurt, I woke up in the a.m. and
went downstairs to make coffee. Suddenly the Lord just planted
part of Malachi 4:2 clearly in my mind.
"... the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its
wings..."
I went and looked up the entire verse which is as follows:
"But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall
rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like
calves from the stall."
That's not even close to being a go-to verse of mine, and I
wasn't trying to search my brain for verses on healing.
The Lord just put it there.
Three days or so later I got hurt, and I was out of state at my
mother-in-laws house. Back in the bedroom where we keep our
luggage while visiting, I noticed a very small basket on a
table. I looked inside and there were about 75 small cards
about as big as your thumb. I had no idea what they were. I
pulled one out.
They were scripture memory cards. I turned the one over that I
had pulled out, and this was the verse on the back of the card:
Malachi 4:2
"But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall
rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like
calves from the stall."
That card could have had any verse in the Bible on it, but it
had the verse the Lord gave me before I needed it. Those weren't
cards in a basket, they were arrows in a quiver.
Now I'm using that arrow to aim at my health issue, God helping
me. God is good to us.
Jesus is Lord.
