Dear Doves,
When Jesus stood up to read the prophecy of
(Isaiah 61:1-3) in which He abruptly
stopped reading in the middle of the prophecy and sat
down; It is not what he read that is important for us in the
last days, but rather what He did not read. The last
full sentence that He read was, "To set at liberty those who
are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the
Lord." At that point He quit reading. "Then He
closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat
down." (Luke 4:18-20)
We know from Leviticus 25 that the year everyone is
set free is the Year of Jubilee which is also called
the Acceptable Year of the Lord in the New
Testament. The second part of the prophecy in
Isaiah 61, which He did not read is as
follows: "and the day of vengeance of our
God;"
The complete sentence of the prophecy in
Isaiah 61 reads,"To proclaim the acceptable year of the
Lord, and the day of vengeance of our
God." From this, Jesus wants us to understand
that "the day of vengeance of our God" will come in
a far future " acceptable year of the Lord".
That 'future' is now in the end-times.
The following Scriptures will be fulfilled in the
next 'Acceptable Year of the Lord' (ie. Jubilee Year) as
Jesus indicated when He quit reading and sat down:
Luke 21:22-23
"For these are the days of vengeance, that all
things which are written may be fulfilled.......For there
will be great tribulation in the land (of Israel) and
(God's) wrath upon this people (of Israel)."
Matthew 24:27-28
"For as the lightning comes from the east and
flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of
Man be. For wherever the carcass is (it is in Israel), there
the eagles will be gathered together (to devour the
Gog-Magog army)."
Matthew 24:29
"Immediately after the tribulation of those
days........Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in
the heaven...."
The next 'Acceptable Year of the Lord' is the
'Jubilee Year 2016' (1967 + 49 yrs = 2016) The
'Jubilee Year 2016' is also a 'Year of Perfect Order' in
which the Day of Palms/Nisan 10 is on Palm
Sunday, Passover/Nisan 14 is on Thursday and
Firstfruits/Nisan 17 is on Sunday just as they
were the week Jesus was crucified.
According to Your Word, come Lord Jesus!
