April 21, 11:37 PM Jerusalem Standard Time and April 22, 5:03 AM Jerusalem Standard Time (Not Daylight Saving Time) Rapture Watches

Some people are put off by seeing other people watching for the return of Jesus Christ.  Especially by seeing those who watch at certain times.  They may feel guilty if they are Christians as they know that Jesus commanded us all to watch for His return.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  Matthew 24:42

Jesus is speaking to His disciples right after His triumphal entry into Jerusalem before He is crucified later on that week.  Later on in Matthew it is recorded again where He commands His disciples, and really all of us, to watch.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comethMatthew 25:13

We can pinpoint the date of the Hebrew month and the day of the week when Jesus said this because it is recorded:

And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.  Matthew 26:1-2

This would have made it Nisan 12 which would have been from Sunset of the Roman Sunday to Sunset of the Roman Monday.  Now the Galileans celebrated Passover a little differently than the Pharisees who controlled worship in Jerusalem, and really Israel.  The Galileans, which made up Jesus and His disciples, celebrated Passover always on Tuesdays, after Sunset, before the first full moon of their year as determined by Abib.  This year it would fall on Nisan 14, which would start Tuesday at Sunset and extend through Wednesday at Sunset.  They celebrated Passover in an upper room.  Conversely, the Pharisees who were in charge of the Temple worship would kill the Passover lambs around 3:00 PM on Nisan 14 just in time for their Passover which began at sunset, which would be on Nisan 15.  This year, Jesus also died around 3:00 PM, our Passover Lamb, a Wednesday.  He was removed from the cross along with the two thieves on either side of him, just before sunset to keep the high Sabbath of Passover “Holy” for the Pharisee’s.  Normally, these bodies would just lay on the ground all through Nisan 15 as anyone touching them during the Pharisee’s Passover would be considered by the Pharisee’s to have broken the High Sabbath.  Remember, to go from Galilee to Israel and Jerusalem one must travel through or around Samaria.  And remember, Galilean’s Passover would have ended at sunset on Nisan 14 so under the same rules they would not be breaking a High Sabbath by touching or preparing for burial a dead person as long as it was done within the first 3 days of death.

From the research I’ve done, I have come to the conclusion that Jesus was laid to rest after being wrapped in many layers of strips of cloth held together with aloe pulp, around midnight, which would have been for the Romans, the end of Wednesday and the beginning of Thursday.  He arose exactly 3 days and 3 nights later, around midnight, for the Romans, the end of Saturday and the beginning of Sunday, Nisan 18.  Jesus was freed from His bonds on Nisan 18!  Halleluiah!

I say all this to say that following the Jewish Lunar calendar for this Passover week as compared to His crucifixion week, we would have a parallel for Jesus rising from the dead and the DEAD IN CHRIST to rise first for the time April 21, 11:37 PM, midnight (half way between sunset and sunrise the next morning).

Likewise we know that after Jesus rose from the DEAD, He did not right away ascend to the Father.

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.  John 20:1

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your GodJohn 20:17

Let’s just suppose He ascended to His Father at sunrise.  That would give us a parallel with sunrise in Jerusalem which would be at April 22, 5:03 AM JST.

I just love the blustering of those who say that we cannot know the day or the hour.  However, Jesus told His disciples THEY could not know the day or the hour.  That does not mean no one will never know the day nor the hour.  Millions of people around the world will know exactly the day and the hour when this happens.  But will anyone know before hand?  Well, Jesus, before speaking in the FIRST book of the New Testament, now speaks in the LAST book of the New Testament.  Again He COMMANDS us to watch, along with holding fast and repenting.  But this time He gives a promise ONLY TO THOSE WHO DON’T WATCH.  And I quote, “If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.  Revelation 3:3

Remember also that Jesus said many things in the present tense when He was on earth 2,000 years ago.  However, that does not mean they will always hold true such as the Rapture, in the future tense.  Take for example John 3:13.

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  John 3:12-13

That was absolutely, positively, 100% true when Jesus said it.  (Some scripture versions have (which is in heaven) in footnote as it is believed John added this to what Jesus said, to explain that Jesus was in heaven when John wrote down the words of what Jesus said, but this was not part of the quote of Jesus.

Also, this will no longer be true, that “no man hath ascended up to heaven”, once the fullness of the Rapture is over.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  I Thessalonians 4:16-17

P.S.  As yet I don’t know the timing of the Rapture but I believe that God’s word is true and only those who are not watching will not know the time when He comes upon us again per Revelation 3:3
