If the Rapture and Sudden Destruction are simultaneous events (I personally believe the Rapture itself CAUSES the major devastation/earthquake world wide), the ensuing physical damage/tsunamis/et al, will be a very easy excuse, explanation to 'where the people went'. There are still those unaccounted for from 9/11, from Katrina, ALL the major events in recent years have 'unaccounted for' numbers.

If there is a worldwide massive earthquake, that levels cities (with fires, tsunamis, radiation from other nukes)...those Raptured will be GONE...I do not believe we will leave these bodies behind, it is a physical as well as spiritual Rapture...we will be changed in an instant, THEN 'taken up'. The 'change' will make our old tired bodies NEW and incorruptible...that's what will 'go up'.

Why would the graves of the Dead in Christ have to 'open up' if the bodies of them are to be left behind? We are triune beings, Mind, Body, Spirit...God made us that way, and that's what He will work with.
