"1948 or 1967??"
Matthew 24:32
"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as ITS TWIGS GET
TENDER AND ITS LEAVES COME OUT, you know that summer is near. Even so
when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the
door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass
away until all these things have happened."
Much has been discussed and presented on this site regarding the above
words spoken by Yeshua. “As soon as its twigs get tender” should
be our focus to calculate the beginning of a generation. I would not
count a generation’s beginning from “..and its leaves come out”.
I think that its leaves, Israel, came out, when they liberated
Jerusalem or took full ownership of Jerusalem, in 1967, and obviously
the beginning of the generation would have started before with “as soon
as its twigs get tender”, the day when Israel was declared a
Nation. From that point on, you can say if a generation is 52,
60, 70 or 80 and come to the end of that generation. If the case
for a generation for Israel in this regard is 80, and Jesus said that
“this” generation shall not pass away, then that generation is now
63yrs old with a balance of 7 years to go.
This is just my input and to show you that I do read all cases presented in this site.
Thanks John for all your hard work and long hours that you put into
this site, and thank you all your doves, lurking or active, we will be
meeting very soon, permanently, never to part.
