For goodness sakes---When Jesus told us to watch, He wasn't talking about staying awake at night from 9pm to 3am in the morning!  God knows that we have to be prepared for each day of life ---and part of that preparedness means getting a decent night's sleep so we are not out driving to work the next day and running over someone or falling asleep at the wheel!  Being READY does not mean losing sleeping and risking your health!!!
 
Jesus was speaking of a spiritual awakeness! Not allowing ourselves to be lulled into a false sense of believing that the return is way off into the future, so that we become pre-occupied with the cares of this life! Remember, none of us are promised tomorrow! The going home for any one of us could be tonight or tomorrow, rapture or not! Some people have a tendency to get very impatient or angry at God for delaying the rapture, but remember that God can take you at any time. We are always just one heartbeat away from eternity!
