I saw a TV report today here in Australia and noted the piercings in the mother's face.

I find it rather odd that everything happens on what would have been the poor little girl's 7th birthday.
 
Note also that the mother's name is Kristi.
 
Biblically the number 7 stands for completion and perfection.
 
Is this yet another sign?
