We have a cosplay testimony. My husband is a pilot and my young daughter has had to move many, many times and lived in a foreign country where she didn't speak the language. She's had very, very few friends or playmates over the years. There was an anime series she liked- a classic good vs. evil. She had the opportunity to go to a large anime convention. Her father took her and I pretty much worried the whole time what she'd be exposed to, but a voice actor was going to be there for one of the characters she really wanted to meet. There was a special meet and talk with him session. My daughter had probably one of the best times of her life. And for all of my worry, she came home with a music cd from the voice actor. All but a few songs were Christian. She also made some friends that followed the same series. I was able to go to the next convention, and meet the voice actor. He was selling other of his cds. One was worship music. It's one of the best I've ever had. I was really impressed that there was a voice of witness. If kids didn't show up because of his involvement and celebrity, he wouldn't be able to be a witness to them. Kids bought one of his cds because one of the songs is the anime series theme and is very popular. My daughter stuck with the kids that went to that series' events/ programs. She had some good, clean fun. She also brought salt and light to her circle of friends. Jesus dined with publicans and sinners. We should, too.
