Hi Jonathan,
You said,
"Some say that Three Days and Three nights spoken by Jesus is a figure of Speech..."
You are absolutely correct it is a figure of speech!
Unfortunately, many are still tying themselve into a not in order to figure it out!
I posted an article on this very topic on the 5 Doves, on the 9th of April 2009.
You can read it below.
When I watched another 2 minute video in the series, it really astounded me!
Thanks for post it!

Hi Doves,
Many have made the wrong assumption that the Lord was in the tomb for 72 hours.
This is a wrong assumption.
In order to account for these 72 hours, they have concluded that the Lord either died on a Wednesday and rose from the dead the following Sunday, or that there were two Sabbaths that were being observed during the week He died.
Both these conclusions are wrong.
The Lord's Body was in the tomb for 36 hours. He died at 1500 hours on the Day part of the 14th of Nisan.
He then rose at 0300 hours before dawn on the 16th of Nisan.
Let me give an account for the 36 hours the Lord's Body was in the tomb.
3 hours -------- 1500 hrs to Sunset [Day part of the 14th of Nisan].
12 hours ------- Sunset to Sunrise of the 15th of Nisan.
[Evening part of the Sabbath Day].
12 hours ------- Sunrise to Sunset of the 15th of Nisan. [Day part of the Sabbath Day]
9 hours -------- Sunset of the 16th of Nisan to 0300 AM.
3 hours + 12 hours + 12 hour + 9 hours = 36 hours
So the question is what did the Lord mean when He said,
" For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matt.12:40)
The heart of the earth was were the souls of saints and sinners were held.
The souls of sinners were kept in hell itself, while the souls of the saints were kept in Paradise.
It was into Paradise, in the heart of the earth, the Lord descended into after His death on the cross. For He said to the thief,
"Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43)
Now this is the most important point I want to make.
The very presence of the Lord in Paradise caused all the souls of the saints there to experience 36 hours of Day light (3 Days), While, at the same time, all those in hell experienced 36 hours of darkness (3 Nights).
We see a similar thing occur at the red sea. For we read,
"And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.
So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel.
Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night." (Exd. 14:19,20)
Let continue to prepare ourselves for is return.
