Hello,
John and Doves,
Susan,
I hope that the LORD puts some import on the weekly Torah portion [Parshah] read
on each particular Sabbath. I highlighted the word, conundrum, in your post, and I hope
to address it--as well as encourage you in your faith.
On May 21, 2011/Iyyar
17, 5771 we are to read Leviticus 25:1 to 26:2.
This
will include discussions of Sabbath years, Jubilee years, and the institution of
the kinsman
redeemer practice [see the book of Ruth, also].
On a
related note [of God showing that He remembers you, Susan], I offer up these
scriptures as a prayer for you:
"I
have been young, and [now] am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his
descendants begging bread." Psalm
37:25
"A
father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy
dwelling." Psalm
68:5
"I sought
the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my
fears.
"Those
who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with
shame.
"This
poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his
troubles.
"The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and
he delivers them.
"Taste
and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in
him.
"Fear the
LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack
nothing.
"The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the
LORD lack no good thing."
Psalm 34:4-10
To
those who obey His Word, the LORD says,
"The LORD will
open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season
and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will
borrow from none." Deuteronomy
28:12
In
fact, God invites us to expect blessings as a result of obedience to His Holy
Spirit:
"Bring 935 ye all the tithes
4643 into the storehouse
214, that there may be meat
2964 in mine house
1004, and prove 974 me now herewith 2063, saith 559 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635, if I will not open
6605 you the windows
699 of heaven 8064, and pour you out
7324 a blessing 1293, that [there shall] not
[be room] enough 1767 [to receive it]."
Malachi 3:10
If the
LORD does not declare a blessing in this life, as regards this passage, then the
heavenly fulfillment is not to be described by any words we now possess.
And yet, it is written,
"Trust in the
LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His
faithfulness.
"Delight
yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your
heart.
"Commit your way
to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring [it] to pass." Psalm 37:3-5
As far
as giving goes, there are two pertinent scriptures:
2 Corinthians 9:7
And
don't be embarrassed because you have little. Whatever you give out of
your necessity far outdistances the gifts of those who give out of their
excess. [Luke 21:1-4]
Please
note that after Luke 21:1-4 follows a discussion of the end times in which we
now live.
How
then shall we live/give?
"Trust in the
LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own
understanding;
"In all your
ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
"Your word [is] a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."
Psalms 119:105
Finally,
"And whatever we ask
we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments
and do those things that are pleasing in His
sight.
"And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son
Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave
us commandment.
"Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in
us, by the Spirit whom He has given us." 1 John 3:22-24
In
Jehovah Jireh [The LORD will Provide--Genesis 22:10-14],

"Sabrina"
Hi Doves,
I also have a
question for you all. Do any of you subscribe to the emails from Sabrina
who posts here and Susan in the USA with the letters from the LORD which seem
to be coming more often and more urgently. I read them and find they
have the unmistakable ring of authority. The LORD is pleading with us to
"get right with him" before it is too late and informs us that we are in the
last days. I have been emailing the letters to friends and family and
praying for opportunities to do more. The latest letter (one of them) is
difficult though as God exhorts us to put the world away and our hopes and
ambitions for this world - and concentrate on becoming Holy so we may be fit
to leave. I am unemployed, looking for a job, have rent to pay and can
only exist here a couple more months unless I find work. I'm very
confused on whether to leave the cares of the world to themselves and not go
ahead looking for work etc - or to keep on as I have been (looking for work
and finding a way to stay in my home). It's a conundrum over which I am
exceedingly puzzled. IF the letters are genuine - then it appears our
time is indeed short and I should be out there evangelizing more instead of
occupying myself with worldly matters. I think the latest letters from
Sabrina and Susan will be posted by Sabrina either today or tomorrow - I would
be grateful for your input having read them with discernment lead by the Holy
Spirit.....
Love to all,
Your Sister In Christ,
Susan
