"Is judgment happening now to America?"
 
Hello, John and Doves,
 
In reference to Steven S' post, http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/apr2011/stevens428-4.htm, it seems that America is in the midst of judgment from the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel.
 
It has been fashionable for Christians from the USA to quote the following well-known verse:
    "If my people 5971, which are called 7121 by my name 8034, shall humble 3665 themselves, and pray 6419, and seek 1245 my face 6440, and turn 7725 from their wicked 7451 ways 1870; then will I hear 8085 from heaven 8064, and will forgive 5545 their sin 2403, and will heal 7495 their land 776."  2 Chronicles 7:14
 
However, we tend to forget the purity of God's holiness, and that He cannot overlook sin.
    "If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."  2 Timothy 2:13
 
There are many and varied applications of this verse, but it is clear from the context that God honors His Word at all times.
 
If we fail to heed His commands, and then fail to confess and fail to repent, then only judgment can follow.  Find your favorite verse.
