It may amaze one and all that I think that
Jo Rowling is a Christian. She is also a genius.
As such, the LORD has used her to put the
WORD in the mouths of various characters.
Take, for example, what Dumbledore says to
the students assembled in the Great Hall at the beginning of Harry
Potter's third year:
"Happiness can be found
in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."
[from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
Azkaban]
It is written,
"No
king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great
strength.
"A
horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it
cannot save.
"But the eyes of the LORD are on those who
fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
"to deliver them from death and keep them
alive in famine.
"We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our
help and our shield.
"In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
"May
your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in
you."
Psalm 33:16-22
And we remember that,
"Nehemiah
said, 'Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to
those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord.
Do not grieve, for the joy of the
LORD is your strength.'" Nehemiah 8:10
In
Nehemiah, chapter 8 is recorded the reading of the Torah by Ezra
the scribe on Yom Teruah, as well as the Feast of Booths, Sukkot.
Clearly, then, the Patronus Charm, which
Dumbledore's comment foreshadows, is a remez
This is because the Patronus Charm fights
fear with joy as a shield against dementors--those beings that thrive
on fear. Nothing could be clearer.
The challenge, then is to meet
every discussion of every defensive spell with an appropriate
scripture, as I have illustrated, above.
For it is written,
"From
the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD
is to be praised."
Psalm 113:3
David also says,
"When
I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the [night] watches.
"Because
You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will
rejoice."
Psalm 63:6-7
On a related point, the whole idea of
spells and charms is that the wizard must believe what he is
saying. This is exactly equivalent to the following scriptures:
"...[T]he
just shall live by his faith." Habakkuk
2:4b
"But without faith [it
is] impossible to please [Him], for he
who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder
of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews
11:6
The idea of having a Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry is really a clever cover for the real intent of
the author, to point out two scriptures:
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of
truth." 2 Timothy 2:15, and,
"Thy word 565 have I hid 6845 in mine heart 3820, that I
might not sin 2398 against
thee." Psalm 119:11
These, in turn, point to:
"But
when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak:
for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
"For
it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh
in you."
Matthew 10:19-20, and,
"...[S]anctify
the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer
to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with
meekness and fear...." 1 Peter 3:15
The word, fear, in this passage goes right
back to Psalm 33.
Finally,
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after
the flesh,
Thus I pray that Sarah would devour the
Word of God daily--and would cause others to do the same. Let
them all who read and enjoy the Harry Potter series be saved and filled
with the love of the Father of Lights, the Living Word, who is His Son,
Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of the LORD of Hosts,
the God of Israel, who is the Ruach HaKodesh. Amen and
amen.

"curse of harry potter"
Please pray for SArah. She has these books in her
possession..I don't know if they're in the house..I told her put them
out of the home. I told her not to read them..but this guy in her class
seems to have greater influence on her ,....than me and my warning her.
He told her to read the books...as he himself has and he knows all the
spells.
