Hello,
John and Doves,
Now that
the Feast of Firstfruits has passed (coincidentally Easter, this year),
I am thinking about the count-up to Shavuot.
It is
interesting to note that 40 days of warning plus 10 days of shared
tribulation add up to 50.
Another
interesting thing is that Moses records that,
"And it came to
pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it
came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of
Egypt." Exodus 12:41
Perhaps
this is a clue to our imminent departure [Heb: exodus; Gr:
apostasia].
The
Church was created on Sivan 6. Regardless of anybody's
interpretation of when the Feast of Unleavened Bread is supposed to be
celebrated this particular year [2011/5771], it seems possible that our
departure/exodus/apostasia could be on the "selfsame day."
[No man knows the day nor the hour, and He comes at an hour that
we think not--Matthew 24:36, 24:44]
On more
thing: on the subject of the Antichrist being revealed, there
needs to be a new [καινός--kainos: fresh, renewed] discussion on the word,
"apostasia." There can be no doubt as to its biblical
use; it means a departure from a standard or norm. Here's a
clue: "When did we, as Five Doves find a renewal of interest in
the End Times? Did it not predate Oct 29, 2008? As such,
think of this scripture in a new light:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
"And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove
what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romans 12:1-2
Could it
not be said that we have already, in large part, departed from the ways
of the world? If so, then, we receive this promise as surety of
it happening to Israel proper:
"And ye shall be
unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words
which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel." Exodus 19:6
Lest
anyone think that God has abandoned Israel in favor of us, in whom this
scripture will imminently be fully fulfilled (for our little part in
it),
God says,
"Comfort ye,
comfort ye my people, saith your God....
"He shall
feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm,
and carry [them] in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that are
with young....
"Have ye not
known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning?
have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?"
Isaiah 40:1, 40:11, and 40:21
Who are a
part of God's flock? The flock of our LORD Jesus is such that,
It seems
pretty clear to me, from the above scriptures, that the Cross of Christ
was, is, and will be efficacious for the salvation of everyone of all
ages and
dispensations.
As such, we are one big, happy flock!
In HaShem
[The Name],
Mike C.
