"RE:  Harvey Troyer--your post:  "An Antidote for Feeling Very Down Today-Please Share this with Everyone!""

Hello, John and Doves,

Brother Harvey, Habakkuk 2:4b is one of my favorite passages in the entire Bible:  "...[T]he just shall live by his faith." KJV

This clause does not present us with a mere command to live by faith.  God, through His holy prophet has once again given us both an everlasting promise and a tool for self-evaluation.

For it is written,
"And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:
"Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want [shall not lack] a man to stand before me for ever."  Jeremiah 35:18-19

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."  John 17:17

"So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."  Romans 10:17

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."  Romans 12:1-2

"Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]."  1 Corinthians 10:11-13

    "
Now, whereas it is written,
"But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."  Hebrews 11:6

It is also written,
"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
"Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
    "For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ...."  Philippians 1:3-6

And it it is also written,
"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure."
                                                                                Philippians 2:13

"...[M]y God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
                                                                                Philippians 4:19

All of this is to say,
"As the church submits to Christ, so you wives must submit to your husbands in everything.
"And you husbands must love your wives with the same love Christ showed the church. He gave up his life for her
"to make her holy and clean, washed by baptism and God's word.
"He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault."  Ephesians 5:24-27

Take heart, we're all going together, all we who trust Jesus and live in the Light.

"This is the message he has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him at all.
"So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness. We are not living in the truth.
"But if we are living in the light of God's presence, just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin.
"If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth.
"But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong."  1 John 1:5-9

In HaShem,
Mike C.

April 8, 2011

Dear John Tng and faithful doves—and all readers,

Subj: An Antidote for Feeling Very Down Today—Please Share this with Everyone!

I couldn’t help but notice the postings yesterday (on another Forum) that some were feeling very down. When I feel that way, it’s usually because of feeling rejection from family and people that I really care about. I have armed myself with some very good Christian Music CD’s and DVD’s; of which, Bill Gaither’s (4 volumes DVD’s) All Time Favorite Homecoming Songs and Performances are definitely my favorites, to get me happy and joyful again in the Lord. It’s really great on a big screen TV with surround sound.

Following is one of my favorites which you can access on Youtube.

1) >From the Gaither Homecoming video "Singin' With The Saints"

Jessy Dixon and the Gaither Homecoming Friends sing "HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN". This clip is a part of the Gaither video series "London Homecoming"

As most of us know, we are sooo… very near to the end (the Day of the LORD’S judgment and wrath, and also His Salvation).

[Read Isaiah 25:9(NIV) 9) In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him and he saved us.  This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.” (This pictures the Rapture!)]

Be assured that the truly righteous (not the hypocrites) will be Raptured the same day that fire and sulfur rain down from heaven (Read Lk 17: 26-37 and Lk 21: 34-36).

Read Habakkuk 2: 1-4  2And the LORD answered me and said, write down the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.  3For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint.  Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day. 4Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness. (Amplified Bible).

Hebrews 10: 37-38 37For still a little while (a very little while), and the Coming One will come and He will not delay.  38But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him. (Amplified Bible)

Jeremiah 15: 19-21 19 Therefore this is what the LORD says: “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman.  Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. 20I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you,” declares the LORD. 21 “I will save you from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the cruel.”

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.  Amen.  (Jude 24-25 KJV)  Maranatha!
