That makes good sense, because Jesus is the head of the Body of Christ, and he floated up to Heaven on Ascension Day. The rest of the Body of Christ could ascend on the same day.Could Jesus have shown us any plainer? The Body of Christ seems to be the barley harvest, the first grain harvest of the year. It ends before Pentecost, when the wheat harvest begins.James 1:18 says, "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures."
Jesus was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights: Thursday, day, Friday (Passover, Nisan 14), night then day, Saturday (Unleavened Bread, Nisan 15), night then day, and Sunday (Firstfruits, Nisan 16) night. He was resurrected on Sunday, Nisan 16 (Firstfruits).
Resurrection Day sure sounds like a good day for the resurrection of saints. The Head of the Body of Christ was resurrected that day. Also, Jesus went to Heaven and returned that same day. Maybe that will all happen again. Jesus ascended to Heaven again 40 days later.Back in 2002, Sal Smario of CHN said, "The time set for resurrections is First Fruits, and the time set for going to Heaven is 40 days later."And in fulfillment of the shadow cast by that event on resurrection day, many of the newly resurrected dead in Christ, will be seen by many, just as they once were seen in the holy city."That is the warning sign God gave us to know that our redemption is only 40 days away!"
Maybe the resurrected dead will again be seen by many, and just maybe the Rapture will happen on Ascension Day in 2011. I hope so.
