I want to thank all of you for your prayers. They have been answered, and are continuing to be answered.
My "procedure" was a total failure. LOL! What I underwent for the second time on Tuesday was an attempt at "cardioversion." Since the end of January my heart beat has been beating in an extremely erratic and rapid manner resulting in multiple symptoms. In early March and again on last Tuesday they made three separate attempts in shocking my heart, causing it to momentarily stop beating with the "hope" that it would restart in a "normal manner." And the best that they could achieve were 15 "normal" beats, surpassing last month's record of two "normal beats."
As I reread my original prayer request, I again marvel at how the Holy Spirit had guided my request. I never asked that the "procedure" would be a success according to our human understanding. And yet I specifically stated: "I need prayer to be attuned to the Holy Spirit as to which way to proceed after the "procedure.""
Here's what happens. They give you a drug which rapidly puts you into a coma for about 10 minutes, and then you'll slowly awake with burn marks on your chest and back. Naturally, you are somewhat disoriented. You immediately have the doctor looking over you, reporting the lack of success and the "15 beats." He then informs you that they can give you a stronger drug with greater side effects, and retry for the third time in about a month.
In my somewhat disoriented moment, I recommend a different approach. (After the first attempt, I recommended a beta blocker, but the "good Doctor" insisted on a high-powered drug that blocks over four different metabolic pathways.). The doctor then spouts a few statistics concerning the stronger drug with greater side effects. I'm not a statistic. (The probable outcome for any specific individual is always 50%, unless they have the ability to guarantee that you will be in the favorable category. Rarely they can.).
I stuck with my recommendation. I did have a few doubts, but later that day when my mind was clear, I knew that I made the right decision. The doctor informed me that he would have to make a referral for me to the "big city," which may take some time. Time to lead me into further revelation and ability to try the creators plan. He would have to take me off of that horrible drug (answered prayer. I thought that I was going to have to take myself off of the drug at some point.). And once the horrible drug is out of my system, he will put me on a "beta-blocker." That's what the Holy Spirit was saying a month ago.
The supplement that the Holy Spirit had directed me to start taking, immediately eliminated two of my major symptoms. But it did not enhance the defibrillator as I had expected. Other supplements, such as multiple mineral compounds that I knew my body needed to function properly were being blocked by that "horrible drug." (Sodium, potassium, calcium, kidney function, thyroid function, etc., not to mention that the literature states that they really do not know how the drug actually works. (The truth is, it didn't work.).
My updated textbooks on endocrinology, and books concerning what the Bible states about heart disease and thyroid disease, have been shipped and are due to arrive this coming Monday. Therefore, as I stated at the end of my request: "So your prayers would be greatly appreciated, before- during- and after."
My original request:
I could use some prayer on April 5, probably between the hours of 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. I will be undergoing a procedure during that time at one of the regional hospitals. They attempted the same procedure three times back in the beginning of March, without success. So they added another medication to my regimen and are going to "try again" on Tuesday.
My "specialist" is working on autopilot and is blindly attacking a major symptom. A few weeks ago the Holy Spirit gave me guidance right before awakening that I was able to initiate a few days later (a certain supplementation). Therefore, my confidence is high that this time the procedure will be successful.
Another major concern of mine is that there is a 50% relapse rate within one year of one of these procedures. Therefore, they will be wanting to keep me on three of my present four medications to prevent more serious complications and hopefully prevent a relapse. But I know that if I stay on these drugs for any length of time, I will be sacrificing many other organ systems trying to save one major organ.
An old saying we used to have in the emergency room was, "Never let your patient be alone with a "specialist." You always had one of your ER nurses in the room with a specialist. The reason being, is that specialists wear blinders. They frequently only see their "specialty." (Like my specialist.).
Example: A neurosurgeon will be trying to figure out a persons coma, and never recognize that the patient is actively bleeding to death. (I witnessed this myself.).
I need prayer to be attuned to the Holy Spirit as to which way to proceed after the "procedure." So your prayers would be greatly appreciated, before- during- and after.
