US blocks European Mideast peace bid: diplomats April 12 '11

Britain, France and Germany had been pressing key capitals — including Washington and Jerusalem — to support a new EU and U.N. initiative in the Quartet and had wanted to use the April 15th Quartet meeting to start it.

Highlighting the trio's disappointment, a European diplomat said: "We think it would have been high time for the Quartet to have a strong political message out there, so we regret this meeting will not take place."

The US decision to delay the meeting is certain to irritate the three key US allies.

'Only a Miracle Can Save Daniel'

The condition of Daniel Viflic, 16, who was wounded when Gaza terrorists fired an anti-tank missile at a school bus he was in, has taken a turn for the worse. He has been in critical condition since the attack Thursday.

His family asks the public to pray for his health. His full name is Raphael Daniel Aryeh ben Tamar . Daniel is a student at a yeshiva in Beit Shemesh where there are round-the-clock prayers for his recovery since the attack.

 

David Vazana, told Arutz Sheva Tuesday morning that Daniel "needs much mercy from Heaven."
