"TO: Bruce Baber RE: YOUR QUESTION ANSWERED (4 Apr 2011)"
As it is with all questions about end-times prophecy, the answer is
always found in the Scriptures. I believe that 'the answer' to
your question is found in the following Scriptures and definition:
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (NKJV)
"Now, brethern, concerning THE COMING of our Lord Jesus Christ AND OUR
GATHERING TOGETHER TO HIM, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or
troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as
though the Day of Christ had come. LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU BY ANY MEANS;
FOR THAT DAY WILL NOT COME UNLESS the falling away comes first, AND THE
MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED, the son of perdition, who opposes and exaults
himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, SO THAT HE
SITS AS GOD IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, SHOWING HIMSELF THAT HE IS GOD."
"Therefore WHEN YOU SEE the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, STANDING IN THE HOLY PLACE...
"For THEN THERE WILL BE GREAT TRIBULATION, such as has not been since
the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be."
"These are THEY WHO HAVE COME OUT of the great tribulation, THEY HAVE
WASHED THEIR ROBES AND MADE THEM WHITE IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB."
THE DEFINITION OF: 'harpazo' or 'rapture', according to the KJV New
Testament Greek Lexicon and Strong's number 726, is: 'to snatch out',
'to pluck out', 'to catch up' or 'to catch away'. When you replace the
phrase "HAVE COME OUT" in (Rev 7:13) quoted above it reads:
These are THEY WHO WERE SNATCHED OUT of the great tribulation....
These are THEY WHO WERE PLUCKED OUT of the great tribulation...
These are THEY WHO WERE CAUGHT UP OUT of the great tribulation...
These are THEY WHO WERE CAUGHT AWAY OUT the great tribulation...
In any case, THEY WERE RESCUED OUT of the great tribulation so that
THEY WERE NOT AFFECTED BY IT, THEY DID NOT HAVE TO ENDURE IT, and THEY
DID NOT HAVE TO EXPERIENCE IT as God has promised them. Who are they?
