"THE 'PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE' IS MISUNDERSTOOD......"

Dear Doves,

To properly understand the meaning of the 'Parable of the Fig Tree' you must read the Scriptures in Luke 21 that 'immediately preceed and follow' the 'Parable of the Fig Tree'. The phrase "until all these things have happened" refers to all of these events which are to happen 'leading up to and including' THE COMING OF THE LORD AT THE RAPTURE. The 'parable' DOES NOT include the events associated with the 'second coming' of the Lord at the end of the '70th Week of Daniel'.

The Scripture in Luke 21 that immediately PRECEEDS the 'Parable of the Fig Tree':
Luke 21:28
"When THESE THINGS begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because YOUR REDEMPTION (rapture) IS DRAWING NEAR."

Jesus then tells the 'Parable of the Fig Tree' which is describing 'the timing or nearness' of "YOUR REDEMPTION" (our rapture). As part of the 'Parable' He states, "Even so, when you see THESE THINGS happening, you know that the Kingdom of God (the rapture) is near. This generation will certainly not pass away UNTIL ALL THESE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED." (ie. these things (events) leading up to AND including the rapture)

The Scripture in Luke 21 that immediately FOLLOWS the 'Parable of the Fig Tree':
Luke 21:34-36
"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkeness and the anxieties of life, and THAT DAY (day of rapture) will close on you unexpextedly like a trap. For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be ALWAYS ON THE WATCH and pray that you may be able to escape (by rapture) all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

The reference to "THIS GENERATION" in the 'Parable of the Fig Tree' is referring to the length of time from the re-birth of Israel until the rapture occurs, NOT until the 'second coming' of the Lord at the end of the '70th Week of Daniel'.

Therefore, if a 'Hebrew generation' is 70 years of 360 days each totaling 25,200 days, and Israel was re-born on May 14, 1948  the end of "THIS GENERATION" is May 12, 2017. Our redemption (rapture) will take place BEFORE May 12, 2017 which is the end of "this generation".

The 'last year' of "this generation" is then the 'Jubilee Year' which is also the Hebrew 'Spiritual Year' beginning on the 'first month' of Nisan 1, 2016 and ending in the Spring of 2017. I believe that the rapture will occur as the 'latter rain' comes in the 'fist month' of the  'Spiritual Year' which is Nisan 2016 in the 'Year of Jubilee', and the last year of "this generation".

According to Your Word, come Lord Jesus!
