Dear Brother Jonathan --Your post was timely up to your reference to 2 Chron 7:14. I believe we are past that point now, and the Lord would have us consider Jeremiah 7:16 -"Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you."We have a burgeoning number of folks who now proudly claim they are "ex-Christians" or otherwise unaffiliated, but in any event unsubmissive to and in active rebellion against Jesus Christ. Jesus will save His people, but the rest have CHOSEN judgment.Perhaps a severe dose of tribulation (next on the programme) will give some of them pause, but in the meantime, we are maintaining course and increasing speed as a nation, and are plunging into an abyss of misery. There will be NO Nineveh-like repentance here. The next 40 days, I believe, will be the second fulfillment of "the sign of the prophet Jonah" to our generation: 40 days of warning (see Jonah 3:4) and if there are no sackcloth and ashes (and there probably won't be), then the church will be raptured and the tribulation will begin in earnest.May the Lord preserve His obedient remnant through the rough times ahead.Blessings!Steve
