You did not write those words. The Holy Spirit wrote them through you.
More timely a message could not be delivered to the body of Christ. I am just
finishing up a new article I am writing on revival for a local Christian magazine.
The bottom line is not signs, miracles, and wonders - though such
things do accompany a true revival. The whole point of revival is found in
2 Chronicles 7:14.2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version)
14 if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
This is not a message to unbelievers. It is a solemn message to the body of Christ. The church of the western world is fat and lazy. There are many sincere followers who truly seek the face of God and obey the Lord's commandments. But as a whole, the working machine of the Christian church in the western world is more pre-occupied with flatscreen tv's and shiny cars.
We are at a fork in the road. It is time for us to publicly declare "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!" (Joshua 24:15). Then, in God's mercy, we might see the derelicts running the nation change their evil ways, or be removed...IF it is not too late already!
