Precisely we know the "thief" will come at "night" and not in the morning or the afternoon. So its very imperative that we must keep watch and stay pure during this season of time. God knows some or many of his children will fall into "sleep", that is why Jesus forewarn us to keep watch and get ready for the "thief". Jesus said in Matthew 24:25: "See, I have told you ahead of time."

Mark 14: Here is another example of how we should keep watch and pray (just one hour the disciples should have watched and prayed)

³⁷And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

³⁸Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak.

³⁹And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

⁴⁰And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

Lord as our own hour comes near please renew our strength, help us to stay awake to watch and pray.  Please Lord Jesus allow us to be ready.  The hour is near.
