"Jim Bramlett Hymns and more"

Jim!

Before I saw which hymn you had there, I was thinking of this hymn just from what you were saying leading up to it. This was my Jr. Highschool graduating class' choice of our favorite hymn, 1973 "My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less". We had a whopping 10 seniors that year. I too still love hymns. Someone posted a link to a site yesterday that has hymns in html as well as audio files of the hymns for listening. They are wonderful.

Having said this, I do think that you bring up some good points about modern worship too. Raising the hands and clapping or whatever is hard to do while holding a hymnal etc.

One small disclaimer: I do not recomend Harold Camping or much of his teaching. I listened to him on the radio back in 1980 or so when I first became a disciple and wanted to seriously learn the bible, but I soon discovered there were other choices and discovered errors in Camping's camp, hah...

For example, compare his views on tongues with that of this other man:

I'd like to thank Brandon Newsom for posting the link to this man for he says many things that I also have learned to be true.
