"I want to be Identified With Him? (Galatians 6:17)."

Praise The Lord To All.

The church of the living God is the true representative body of Christ on earth, and we are the "sheep counted for the slaughter, killed all the day long." We are the body of the Lamb. He first had an original little body about 33 years old which He hung on Calvary and now we are to fill up that which is behind of the sufferings of Christ in our flesh for His body sake, which is the church. For it is written, "I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service, (Rom. 12:1).

The Holy Ghost separates and sanctifies us, that "the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost" (Rom. 15:16). We are not fit for anything except to be killed. Don't run from persecution but go ahead and present your body a living sacrifice. In II Corinthians 6:3, Paul says, "Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed. But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labor, in watching, in fasting, etc. "You cannot prove your ministry in God and fly all to pieces at provocations.

In the contrary, you must have much patience.  And be long suffering.  Some people have short suffering, but God wants long suffering, and Paul in this scripture says, "by the Holy Ghost," also. We at times will be dishonored too, and called fools and devil's and have things laid to our charge, which we never thought of doing (II Cor. 6:6-10).  All manner of evil shall be spoken against us for His name sake.  We get the most of our persecution among our own brethren.  Paul got most of his from the Jews and not the Gentiles.  We can outlive anything that is spoken against us falsely.

We had better stay low when they give us a good report, and don't get angry and fight when they give you an evil report. We must learn how to stay in the middle of the road, and get neither puffed up nor discouraged.  Persecution is one of the principal signs that follow "them that believe".  It is one of the badges that go with Christianity (II Tim. 3:12).
