Brother Rick:
Continuing on since my last post, I want you to
prayerfully consider the possibility in your 6th. paragraph, that CHRIST is in
fact the prince who is to come that confirms the covenant in Vs. 27. There is
abundant Scriptural evidence that agrees with that statement. The context of the
entire 9th. Chapter of Daniel is concerning the coming of a great anointed
Messiah, that will add strength to the existing Abrahamic Covenant mentioned in
Daniel 9:4 & 27! In Daniel 9:27, the word "confirm" (Strongs#1396) means "to
strengthen", NOT "to make" or "to sign" as traditionally taught. NO where in
Scripture does it say the antichrist confirms anything, however in
Romans 15:8 the text declares: Now I say that Jesus
Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to CONFIRM the
promises made unto the fathers. Then in Galatians
3:17 it says: And this I say, that the covenant, that was
CONFIRMED before of God IN CHRIST, the law... Rick honestly, could
it be any clearer? It even says in Isaiah 42:6 that:
I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine
hand, and will keep thee, AND GIVE THEE FOR A COVENANT OF THE PEOPLE, for a
light of the Gentiles.
Also in that 6th. paragraph, you
were exactly correct when you said "The prince confirming the covenant is the
same as the prince who is to come in verse 26", and that statement is 100%
correct, because Jesus who was the one to come in vs. 26, is also the one who
will confirm and strengthen the Abrahamic Covenant in Vs. 27 for 7 years. And
when the Book of Daniel was written around 530 B.C., Jesus had not already come,
but was to come 530-560 years later.
In the 7th paragraph Rick, you
mentioned the final 7 years begin sometime during the first seal in Rev. 6:1.
Rick, I'm sorry to say none of the seals have any type of "time stamp"
associated with them.
I think I have said enough here, so as not to go beyond brotherly love
and cause a rucas here on the FiveDives that John hates. I just want to say
Rick, it's going to be a frieghtful day at the Judgement Seat of Christ for one
of us. If it is me, I'm calling the antichrist Christ, and deceiving my family,
and fellow brethren to do the same. However if it is you Rick, you are calling
Christ the antichrist, and deceiving your family and brethren to do likewise.
All I ask of you Rick and anyone else reading these posts is to be like Berians
and study these things out in the Word of God, to see if these things be not
so.
In His Service,
