"Re: Rick Hedrick's reply :To watchman on your video...3 1/2 or 7 years"

Shalom Brother Rick:
Rick, I truly appreciate you taking your valuable time to watch and comment on my Video: http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=e915fe1dfb1ec516dda0
that I uploaded on Saturday the 26th. And thanks also to you John Tng for making all this possible in the first place.
Rick I read your comment: http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/apr2008/rickh428-2.htm  that posted today, and I would like to say a couple of things to clarify my position a little better. I think I will just start at the first paragraph and work my way down the page if I have anything I want to add, if that is O.K. with you?
I really like what you said about offering your comments "in the spirit of love and respect for mine and others desire to discover the truth". If everyone on the FiveDoves had that same attitude, we could ALL learn a lot more from each other.
In the 3rd paragraph you rightly speak of the 69 weeks being separated in two parts 7+62=69. The main thing I would like to add here Rick is that in Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks (62) shall Messiah be cut off... What the text is really implying here is that after the 69 weeks (7 + 62) shall Messiah be crucified (cut-off). It is a play on words, and one that can easily be misinterpreted.
Then in the 4th paragraph you said: "It is an assumption on your part to say that the "anointing of the Most Holy" in Dan. 9:24 is refering to Jesus' baptism". Rick, in my video at time marker 5:40, all I did was read those 7 goals listed in Daniel 9:24, in which the anointing of the Most Holy was the 7th. I never once said "the anointing of the Most Holy in Vs. 24 was refering to Jesus' baptism", because it is not! What I did say was the word Messiah, used two times in the New Testament (4 times in Bible) means ANOINTED. So I ask when in the life of Jesus was he ANOINTED? Luke 3:21-23 says he was about 30 years (beginning of public ministry) when he was baptised, and the HOLY GHOST DECENDED IN A BODILY SHAPE LIKE A DOVE UPON HIM. Right after that John the Baptist said in John 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. Then in Vs. 41 we have PROOF of this anointing of the Messiah the Prince: He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, WE HAVE FOUND THE MESSIAS, (anointed) WHICH IS BEING INTERPRETED ,THE CHRIST. That was only 41 days after the baptism. In John 4:25 Jesus gives a second witness by telling the woman at the well he was indeed THE MESSIAH! All of this happened at the beginning of Christ's 3 1/2 year earthly ministry. Then look what the Messiah did. He went into the temple in Luke 4:18 and began to read: The Spirit of the Lord is UPON ME, because HE HATH ANOINTED ME to preach the gospel to the poor, he sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverence to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19) to preach THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD...Verse 21 And he began to say unto them, THIS DAY IS THIS SCRIPTURE FULFILLED IN YOUR EARS. ALL THIS when Christ was 30 years old just AFTER HIS BAPTISM. So clearily Jesus was anointed Messiah the Prince, AT THE BAPTISM, AT THE START OF HIS 3 1/2 year ministry.  So Rick, the 69 weeks (7 + 62) UNTO The Messiah the Prince in Dan. 9:25 according to the above Scriptures, is UNTO THE BAPTISM! Then Vs. 26 says ...And AFTER threescore and two weeks (7 + 62 = 69) shall Messiah be cut off (crucified). We know Jesus was baptised about age 30, and was 33 1/2 years old at his crucifiction. So if you add the 3 1/2 years of his public ministry that ended at the cut off, to the 69 weeks (483 years) "UNTO" the baptism, you will end up with 486 1/2 years of the 490 years. That only leaves 3 1/2 years in the future that hasn't been fulfilled. That is why nowhere in the bible does it state there will be a 7 year time period left: ONLY 3 1/2 YEARS! There is only one verse in the entire bible that is used to back up the supposed 7 year tribulation period, and that is Daniel 9:27 WHICH HAS BEEN GROSSLY MISTRANSLATED!
Now in the 5th paragraph, Rick you say I said: "the first 3 1/2 years of the last week occurs simultaneously with the last 3 1/2 years of the 62 weeks...from Jesus 'baptism to his death". Sorry again Brother Rick but I said the 69 weeks (7 + 62) are UNTO THE BAPTISM, then it is 3 1/2 years AFTER the baptism to the cutoff. There are no overlapping timeperiods there at all.
If it is O.K. with you and John Tng, I will reply to the last 4 paragraphs tomorrow. I have simply ran out of time to finish this tonight. God Bless you Rick, John, and ALL the Doves! I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
