"Wow! Seventy Posts on Five Doves for April 16, 2008"

I just had to count all the posts on Five Doves for April 16, 2008 and there were 70.  If you read one a minute it would take over an hour.

I'll keep this one short.  Many good posts.  Since I especially enjoyed reading  I Corinthians 10:31 post:

and thought it was a very studious effort, thought I'd plug it in case anyone missed it.

I can understand new Christians being scared they are going to lose their salvation so people want to reassure them that it is impossible.  I know in my heart I will never lose my salvation.  I will keep the faith.  All Christians by faith are keeping the faith.  That is the definition of faith!  However, let us all remember the Lord's Prayer that we are not led into temptation and that we are delivered from the Evil One.  There but for the Grace of God go I.  Sadly, many have lost the faith.  Just reassure new Christians.  Love God.  If you love God you WILL keep His commandments.  Keep your eyes on Jesus and you don't have to worry.

Who is a Christian?  One who loves Jesus Christ and keeps His commandments.  I just did a Bible Plus search of the whole Bible and found there are exactly 16 verses in the whole Bible that contain both the words "Love" and "Keep".  There are some jewels in there.  I "love" this tool which is free off the net at:

I just went to my favorite book for looking up the meanings of numbers, "The Arithmetic of God", penned by Don Kistler, which is also free off  the net at:

And looked up 16 as in the 16 verses in the Bible containing the words "Love" and "Keep".  I got goose bumps.  Guess what "16" means?  Love.

I suppose if you want to get creative, one can find 16 several times from the date April 16, 2008.  Since there are only 12 months in a year one needs to add to last years total to get to 16 and 12 + 4 for April gives one 16.  And the day is 16.  And the 2 for the 2nd thousand years times the 8 for the 8th year also equals 16.

Looking Up!

Shalom,
