"Prayers for Douglas Martin"

Douglas, I am praying for you and your family.

To think that a graduate Electrical Engineer cannot find work!  This
belies the claim of Bill Gates that America does not have enough
technical graduates to meet the demands of industry, and we must import
those with know-how.
How utterly ridiculous!

Yes, our schools have over-all dumbed down our populace, but still
there are many many graduates of technical universities who are
under-employed.

If we as a nation do not find work even for our own engineering
graduates, it is another sign that we are lost as an economy.

And here you are, willing to work in a store at a non-engineering job.
I know what that kind of problem is, from a long time ago, when I had a
Master's Degree, but could not find work teaching, and most
non-teaching jobs were off-limits to me because I was "over educated"
for them.  Finally I did find a very good teaching job, but it took
years  to do so and a lot of sacrifice, such as leaving my son with my
parents so I could work in a small town far away for two years...and
then I found a big city job at last...but having a degree was no
passport to easily finding a place, and I really tried!

Douglas, I am praying for you to find work before your unemployment
insurance runs out, and that it will indeed be a professional job.
Father in Heaven, take pity on Douglas and his family, for he is
willing to work at anything to support his children.  Father, have
mercy on all in our country who want to work and cannot find a place.
